There is so much bad information put out by the so-called real estate gurus. It is really amazing!

What is even more amazing is the fact that thousands of people pay hundreds to thousands of dollars for their information. These same buyers of this information seemed to close their eyes to the errors and omissions in the material they purchase. I have had several conversations with many customers who have purchased these real estate courses and am shocked at how much they do not understand or know about basic real estate investment principles. It seems that just about any guru with a microphone can sell anything to anyone and get away with it.

I am definitely not alone in my feelings about the followers of these gurus. Let me ask you a question... Do you really think that if you have absolutely no experience about real estate and you spend a couple of hundred dollars on a course by a guru on TV, that you're totally equipped now to buy real estate? There are so many professionals who have been investing in real estate for years and studying and practicing their craft... They have had to experience incredible twists and turns in this industry and stay ahead of the curve for years now. It is absolutely ludicrous to assume that almost overnight someone with a checkbook and a desire can make it in real estate.

Just like any other profession, you need to acquire the skills and expertise to excel properly. And you also must continue your training almost daily.

In fact, to be involved in real estate and sell note, you must be a multitasker, with the ability to practice several necessary disciplines to be competent. Someone who buys a real estate course from an infomercial does not possess a hair of the necessary information like real estate finance, property management, real estate sales, the appraisal process, the real estate laws of their state, federal income tax law, etc.

Bottom line... get educated! Don't think for one minute that you will make a fortune overnight. This takes hard work and discipline. Real estate is an art and the science.
